Kate Thornton is a Canadian writer drawn to stories, history, and the people who give both their meaning. Her interests span character studies, speculative fiction, and Scottish history, with a recurring curiosity about identity, belonging, relationships, and the conflicts beneath a heroic surface.

Through Fictional Theories, she explores how imagined worlds reflect human experience—and why certain characters stay with us long after a story ends. She is also developing Scotland: Forged in the Fire — The Creation of Alba, a writing and research project exploring Scotland's beginnings.

An avid reader and student of web development, Kate enjoys building spaces where ideas can grow. Her writing begins with curiosity: looking beyond the familiar, following the questions, and finding connections between stories and the lives we lead.
